Veteran’s Day rolls around once a year, every November 11.
But instead of only taking the time to remember the men and women who risk their lives and livelihood only one day a year – we’d like to extend our thanks and gratitude to every day. And Starbucks is thanking veterans in very special ways.
Starbucks is proving that it can ‘walk the walk’ when it comes to helping veterans. The coffee company has pledged to commit to American soldiers and their families:
- Hire at least 10,000 veterans and active-duty military spouses within the next 5 years.
- Match military members and spouses’ unique skill set to the right job opportunities within the company.
- $.10 of every dollar spent at 5 Starbucks locations in military communities will go to aiding the transition of veterans to civilian life.
- On Veteran’s Day – every veteran, active-duty member, and military spouse were offered a free tall brewed coffee.
Starbucks – we’d like to thank you for being such an advocate for the American soldier.
